First, I'm new to the forum, so excuse me if this has been covered elsewhere.  I have been working very hard on moving my weight to the front side on the downswing.  Currently, I'm working with a little more weight toward the back foot at address so that it's easier to just move right into a loaded position.  But I still struggle with either getting stuck on the backside or pushing the weight out toward my toes, which makes it hard to get the weight back towards my front foot.

Today, I tried something that seemed to work very well.  Right before I shift the weight toward my back foot at address, I load most of my weight on the front foot.  This gives me a feel for something closer to what the impact position should be.  Then, without any perceptible lifting of my feet, I simply shift more weight to my back foot before I initiate the backswing.  By doing that, I felt like I was more centered in terms of where the weight was on my feet (not on the heels or toes), which made the transition back to the front foot very easy.  Nearly every iron I hit from that position was flush.

I play at a 12-15 level, so I doubt I've discovered any secret to golf success, but I am interested if others have tried something similar and have had good results over time.

One correction:  the weight shift from the front foot to the back foot occurs right before I initiate the backswing, not the downswing.

Feels vary from golfer to golfer. Some feel as if they push off with their right foot, even though we biomechanically and via sensors and so on that it doesn't really happen. Other golfers just feel they shift their left hip out (toward first base perhaps, or third for golfers who are too closed). We have a training aid called the Crush-It that some golfers will use to feel themselves "loading" into the front foot.

I'd try isolating the motion and just making the motion in an exaggerated way to see what you feel. This thread should help:
