I have three very grown Labrador Retrievers that I bird hunt with and come February the season ends. in Ohio we still have snow on the ground so no hunting, the dogs spend a good amount of time in the back yard. this, as you can imagine, levees me with "presents" that accumulate after a couple of days. I have found that with snow, and the frozen gems, a bucket, and a junk sand wedge it is decent bunker practice, and the 5 & 2 year old think its absolutely hilarious. what odd things have you guys done to try and beat the winter blues? if you live in climate that allows you to golf year round, I am sorry you can't experience "Turd Golf", however if your ever in Ohio look me up and we'll "chunk" a round or two.

when you're blasting out of the bunker, don't you get sprayed by turd disinegration?

That is hilarious. Exactly how far can you hit a frozen dog turd?

10 - 15 yards (depending on the temperature, and freshness of said turd)

a good rule of thumb should be the fresher the yard apple the shorter the distance.

I haven't seriously been hitting dog turds although it has crossed my mind. I just thought it was disgusting enough to be funny. actually I have been chipping golf balls out of snow into buckets, and that really is good bunker practice IMO. as for the turds, their scooped up and put in the trash.

I took you seriously. After all, Ohio doesn't have a test to get a driver's license, so anything can happen in Ohio...

I am very disappointed. Guess I have to get the poop bag out of the freezer and work on my short game the old fashion way.

    • Is an ill-fit putter wrecking your stroke? Here's how to know A putter that fits enhances three critical aspects of your setup: hip orientation, hand and shoulder relationship and eye position. I know Todd Sones is a renowned instructor but eyes over the ball is not a putting fundamental! I have spoken to many instructors - from David Orr, Bruce Rearick, and Mike Shannon, and they all want you to set up where you see the line properly. I have watched numerous fittings for Odyssey, Cameron, LAB, and general fittings, and may have seen two people who were fit with their eyes over the ball. Most were inside by at least 0.5”, or so. I think eyes over the ball hurts more strokes than it helps.
