5SK® - Keys 1 and 2

The season has started and a new problem has popped up - lateral head movement on the downswing when I bump my weight to the left side. When I try to keep my head steady on the downswing, I end up with lower back pain ... my weight doesn’t transfer and I hit the ball right.  (BTW, I’m 74 and a lot stiffer this year)

Have you come to this conclusion by video? If so please post the video on a ‘My Swing’ thread so we can help. Just upload the video to YouTube then copy the link to your post. If not we can only offer limited advice. I asked because particularly with the golf swing, feel isn’t real. First we need to make sure this is actually what’s happening. Read this section I’ve posted and hopefully it will help. Cheers.

Vinsk, you may have diagnosed my problem! I’ve really been struggling to get a full shoulder turn on the backswing this year, and I bet this has had an effect on my hips. Can’t wait to get on the range tomorrow and work on the iacas drill. Alas I don’t have video. I’ll need to chase down my grandson and get him to record my swing in the proper format. Thanks so much for your timely advice 😎
