I was given a vokey for christmas, it is standard length/lie, I was fitted for 1/2" short, 2 degree flat lie. I know the vokey is a cast club, and have never had a cast club bent, and I know there is a better chance of shattering then in a forged club. Is the 2 deg lie angle bend plausible in this club?

Thanks in advance!

I just had mine done 1 up. You shouldn't have a problem.

I think it would be fine... only wedge I know is bad for bending is the CG10... most others are fine, but not more than 2-3*. I play clubs 2* upright, but never bent my old wedges. They seemed to take a pretty level divot, maybe could go 1* though. I have had a pro say that wedges may or may not need to be adjusted, it depends on the swing. I just got some new ones myself, and I'm going to see how they play before making any adjustments other than the +1/2" I had added. My other clubs are +3/4", and 4-PW are spaced in 1/2" incriments, my PW, 52*, and 58* are in 1/4" incriments... just seemed right.

I got mine bent two degrees to 56 and im chipping the ball soo crisp now....Its easy to bend a cast club within 3 degrees...but thou that venture more than 3 degrees are liable that the casting mold snaps. Titleist doesnt make any forged wedges which would bend easier

"People think the size of the head is most important. Wrong. It's getting a quality shaft. test different shafts to see which goes the straightest. Also, more degrees of loft on the head is better than less. Eleven degrees is about right."

If the gaps between all of your wedges (Titleist's) is four degrees, it's almost pointless to make wedges that can bend > 2-3 degrees.

Titleist casts its wedges because even a Tour pro can't tell the difference and, thus, they're easier and cheaper to produce. Titleist cares as much as anyone (or more) about fitting equipment to Tour pros, and they're always very high in wedge counts, so they'd forge them if there was an advantage there, but there's not. Heck, even the AP2 is forged.

    • You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.
    • Day 288 6-17 Low point control without ball. hit quite a few swing where i was wanting the club to hit the ground.  Added a ball with towel behind it, just to see where im at. Wasn't horrible but need some more work. Pretty much full speed swings.
    • Current state of the program.  I can only do 25-50% swing speed, probably under 50% since I was hitting the ball out to the 150 yard marker (yay!),  to get the arms down and somewhat turn the body through impact. I mean somewhat. Arms down + body turn don't like to mesh at all. Anything faster and the body does stupid uncoordinated stuff. Mostly, I am stuck in the old pattern of staling the turn and flipping at the ball.  So, until I see progress. I am not posting anything here.
    • Thanks for the video! Do you think a ball between the arms type of training aid would get me in a better position? I also have a Tour Striker Swing Trainer (PlaneMate-like contraption) if that could be helpful.
    • There are some little things here and there — the shoulder turn is a bit flat, and the arms move around you a bit too much too. Take a look at this video:
