I got an email from Apple about their new credit card, and I'm toying with the idea of getting it.  Not sure I need it, though.

I've already got credit cards (VISA, Discover) in my Apple Wallet and use them for Apple Pay from my iPhone and Apple Watch, and they work fine that way.  The rebate is a little higher than my other cards, but not that much (2% for Apple Pay, 3% for buying from Apple, 1% for everything else).

No annual fee or late fees, but I don't pay those on my current cards.  Interest rates don't matter, because I never pay interest on my cards, either.

Anyone else considering it? 🍎

    • Because at your level of golf it's like thinking that a shaft change is going to help you move the ball from left to right or right to left like Bubba Watson. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that golf is about golf equipment. Look at the WITB videos of the top players on Youtube. The majority of them have little or no interest in the shafts they use. They pretty much know they work, don't change them much and in many cases have to look at the shafts to be able to tell with certainty what they are.
    • Day 40 (17 Jan 22) - Yard too soggy for anything outside, opted for putting drills today.  Practiced from 3ft up to 10ft.  Also went all putt putt with setups that forced 2 strokes to get to the hole.  Made for good work on lagging to where I was in position to sink the putt for the second shot.  I like this drill as there are more times than not I have to think "lag" putt to set up for the second.
    • So I’ve been using $400 Nike IGNITE clubs for about 14 years now and it’s time to upgrade.  They seem very stiff especially when I use someone else's clubs at the range just to get a different feel for it.  My irons on impact feel stiff/rock solid.  I used my friends recently, which were some regular ol' "Top Flite" golf clubs and I noticed the shaft is much more softer, I felt it bend on impact.   I'm not sure which way to go so need some tips.  Should I go for a full set (minus driver and putter) or should I mix and match by getting the irons individually in the irons I use the most, such as 9 iron, 8 iron, 5 iron etc?    What are some good clubs to look at currently? I am ready to get myself clubs that may be more fitted for me in terms of swing speed, power, distance etc.   In terms of budget, I'd say maybe in the $400-1400 range without the driver and putter.
    • Yes, head and shaft were wrapped. It definitely doesn’t look new and it’s not what I ordered so I’ll be returning it soon. I got the wrong head club( mavrik22) and wrong head cover (epic instead of mavrik). No tool, no instructions on adjustments, not even in a callaway box. Like you mentioned it sounds like a bait and switch. I’m just glad I found this forum before it was too late to return it. Thanks for all the help!
