Recommendations in the Houston area

Just FYI for those monitoring this thread and living southeast of houston; I think magnolia creek has been bought out by something called cannongate and appears to be going private (based on their website). They still have tee times available on golf512.com but they do not have them on their own site any more, nor do they list rates for non-members (only members and guests). it really sucks and probably means timber creek will get even more crowded on weekends.

it was/is a great course and i only got to play it once! I guess I'll try to get a couple of those golf512 times; no telling how long that will last.
