First Air Hockey Win Against Cousin!

Today was a great day for me. Every year since I was 9 or 10, at our annual Christmas party, my cousin and I play a game of air hockey against each other. And every year, he creams me and I never get more than two or three points. Today, however, was different. I took a fast 2-0 lead (first to 10 wins) and thought, “Okay, this lead is going to be different. He did score points, but I responded with a point or two of my own. Before I knew it, I had nine points. I looked at his points. Only five. I thought, “Okay, just take it easy. I’m ahead 9-5, and I just need one more to win.” The take it easy approach didn’t work, and he almost immediately scored two points. 9-7. He tried to call illegal penalties on me, and even said he got a free shot on three separate occasions. He missed all three, and I later closed him out 10-7. This is probably the best win I’ve had, mainly because I’m an underdog.
