So I've heard that Sonartec has disappeared. Does anyone here know the juicy details? I have the GS Tour 3W and the Md hybrid and think they are great clubs. Would be sad if a company that made good products went down due to horrible personal.

I was wondering the same thing myself. Last year they made some of the best wedges ive ever seen--now i dont know where they are.

"People think the size of the head is most important. Wrong. It's getting a quality shaft. test different shafts to see which goes the straightest. Also, more degrees of loft on the head is better than less. Eleven degrees is about right."

They do make great clubs, but their name sounds like they are a walmart club. (I think walmart sells intech clubs and balls that really suck.) Also they are only know in the heart of golf circles. I have never seen an ad for them.

You can find their fairway wood heads on ebay for like 99 cents plus $8 shipping on ebay all day long.

Bought my beloved Mac Powersphere 3 wood on ebay for 1 cent, plus $8 shipping. I like it off the tee, but it is a bonafide POS on a fairway shot because of the "spaceage" inverted dome on the bottom of the club, if it digs in the turf .....get out your sports tape for your wrists!

I was just hitting some used 3-woods at Golf Galaxy yesterday and was not really too impressed until one of the employees handed me a Sonartec 3-wood. I just killed that club. It felt great, went straight. (tastes great less filling) but alas it was priced at $170. I thought that was ludicris for a used club that I had not really even heard of. Then I remembered seeing their wedges in golf catalogs and they were always like $30 more then any other wedges. I agree the name Sonartec is hard to remember, hard to say, and sounds generic. Funny how that works...

I served as the tech rep for the area and have many Sonartec fairway woods, hybrids, wedges and bags to clear out. I'll post these in another thread soon.
