Well, i broke my right arm and can't do much for 6 weeks. So, what can i do for 6 weeks? left handed putting?

I would practice my chipping and putting making sure to keep my left wrist firm during my follow through. And watch the golf channel alot. At least you have the Masters to look forward to.

Move to Minnesota. We are still more than 6 weeks from golf weather. You would fit right in with us.

I guess I should have read your bio more carefully before posting. Many Canadians live south of where I am in Minnesota, but I should have not assumed you were any closer to golf weather than I am.

One our leagues best players had shoulder surgery and will be out for more than 1/2 year. I have great sympathy for you both.

Ha, its wierd it was sprin 2 days ago +11 and then we got 5 inches of snow...

I am pretty sure that we get the most snow in March (compared with the other months). It is usually wet and sloppy but does not last too long.

I would practice my putting, and if I can't, I would sharpen my mental game by simply reading articles, tips, watch the golf channel to get myself really motivated, & by standing at my normal address, & visualizing my swing over & over.

You could practice your body motion for the golf swing. You could (depending on how your cast is structured) hold it to your chest and work on your body motion (shoulder turn, hip turn, maintaining knee flex), or hold it to your side and make the same motions.

(Work on the motions in a mirror to confirm you are doing them correctly). You could also practice your setup position in a mirror (compared to the pros) (aside from arm hang and grip).

I agree with the fact that the snow seems a lot thicker once you get closer to Spring.

PS a "that's what she said" comment would fit perfectly with the italicized comment

    • Day 1: 2/26/2025: So, I'm starting over on this again.  My son brought home the mother of all flu bugs from school. It raged though our house and knocked me on my butt for about 3 days.  Now, that I think I'm clear of the death plague my son gave me. I was able to rise early this morning and get some nice mirror work in. I felt stiff like a board for the first few swings, but loosened up and was able to get at least 20 minutes of first robotic slow swings and then gradually more fluid swings.  My focus was on the timing and fluidity of my priority pieces.
    • I use a MagSafe connector on my tripod. Occasionally I use those clips.
    • Working on some swing videos. What are you guys having the best luck with as far as devices used to record the swing?  I have a tripod with a magnet that I stick my phone on but it is somewhat of a pain because I have to remove the cover on my phone and when I pull it off the magnet the tripod head changes and moves position. I was thinking something more like an ipad maybe. On a different style tripod and maybe even set it up to mirror to a tv.
