This week's Thrash Talk question is simple: when and where will the win streak end?

There are a lot of big events and tough courses coming up for Tiger, so it will be interesting to see how long this streak will go. When and where do you think it will end?

I think it will come at the Masters- there are players out there with better short games than Tiger and i think that this will be reflected at Augusta. This will be Phil's event. I wonder if Rory McIlroy will be in the mix here?

I can definatly say it will end at the Players Championship. So many guys are gunning for that title and It's just hard to keep a streak this long. It has to end somewhere.

A better short game than Tiger? Who exactly? Tiger has always been able to get tough greenside shots close and his putting is off the charts this year. You say that like he hasn't mastered Augusta in the past. I'll be stunned if he's anything less than a 3-1 favorite on the board at the start of the Masters.

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

Phil's short game is marginally better than Tigers- i believe there is more flexibilty in it-..it will be a close run thing and i think he will be the only person who will get near TW at Augusta.

Out of all those choices i have to tell you that if his streak were to end it would end at Sawgrass....All of the above choices except for Sawgrass are bombers courses. Tiger plays really well at the longer courses and remember half to 3 quarters of the field will be excluded from these course based on distance alone. An unprecedented amount attention has to be placed on sawgrass because if tigers putting is not on--someone could pass him. You always see shorter hitters in contention at sawgrass...Remember that Fred Funk guy.---Accuracy is a discipline at that course...The whole field can play well there...all thoughts aside i dont see tigers streak ending until the British Open---and thats a maybe.

Sawgrass is my pick too. He hasn't won there in a very long time, it's not a coincidence either. That course is a monster that doesn't clearly favor anyone.

well Ben, you can obviously play a bit off +2- so i'll have to respect that view...i'll say that he'll win 70% of his tournaments over the next 3 years but to say win all is a bit too optomistic...anyway, i don't think a Sampras type domination of golf is necessarily good for the game!

I understand my view is a bit far-fetched, but, the guy is just on a plane of focus that far surpasses anyone around and I don't see it floundering any time soon. He wants to win every tournament he enters, and he does, or has so far this season...

somebody has got to step up to the plate sometime and beat him in a tournament. Can anyone remember the last time TW missed a cut?

The 2006 U.S. Open I believe. That was the first event he played after his father passed away. Also, we have been saying someone has to step up and beat him for years, and it never really seems to happen. It might happen once in a blue moon, but it doesn't happen much.

He missed the cut at the 2005 Byron Nelson. That's the one that ended the seven-year cut streak. I believe the 2006 U.S. Open is his only other missed cut since then, however.

Good stats--heck i cant remember the last time the guy has finished third place. He finished 2nd at oakmont and 2nd at the Deutsche Bank

Tiger tied for third at the 2006 Masters behind Phil Mickelson and Tim Clark I believe. I don't remember all the guys in the tie with him, but Retief Goosen comes to mind. Nonetheless, that was the last time Tiger finished third at a PGA Tour event.

As for the poll, it's pretty even so far. I figured a lot of people would pick The Players, but there is a little of everything in there so far except the Memorial.
