i have a 52 rac black wedge i absolutely love it. it has a really solid feel and launches the ball really high. i was thinking about getting a 60 rac black but since it has a reallly small head i dont know if i will be able to open my face for flop shots. has any one had any experinces with small headed lob wedged?

The good thing about RAC wedges is that they have an intermediate sole grind which is perfect for opening up the blade

"People think the size of the head is most important. Wrong. It's getting a quality shaft. test different shafts to see which goes the straightest. Also, more degrees of loft on the head is better than less. Eleven degrees is about right."

i have a

for me, the smaller the head the easier it is to control for flop shots. Bigger heads are very clunky and interfere. I have tried the Rac TP wedge in a 60 degree and it is really easy to open the clubface. Sonartec wedges are also very good for flop shots in my experience(the leading edge gets pretty low)
