I've been Playing Golf for: ~10 years
My current handicap index or average score is: 12
My typical ball flight is: high draw, but misses are pushed
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: inside of clubface/shank

Took a short break (a couple months) from golf and when I returned, all my misses were on the inside of the clubface towards the hosel.

My setup feels the same as before, so I don't think the problem is there.

My backswing looks down the line but I think the path of the downswing looks a bit too shallow

I've always had problems using my hips and I compensate by rotating the forearms to get the club in position.

As you can see in the video, I line up towards the toe, and the strike ends up on the inside of the clubface. The problem is more severe with short irons and wedges.

Love to hear what you guys think - open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!

Your backswing is too flat. You do a good job in transition to “drop the club into the slot,” but unfortunately because your hands are too deep, you end up putting the club under plane and swing too far from the inside.
