I bought a set  of cleveland 588 Tour Action wedges in 49 56 and 60 with dynamic gold stiff shafts. My irons though is regular. My thoughts are as short as they are it doesn't mater about the shaft stiffness but am I right or would it be good to spend the money to change them to regular shafts? Seams like I hit them about the same distance as the are.

With wedges you really need to go by dynamic measures and not static. Your wedges will have much more variability on trajectories/distances so it’s important you have them tuned to that. Whichever shaft gives you the greatest control is much more important than distance with your wedges.

I have no idea what you mean and no idea how to tune them.

In general, having stiffer or heavier shafts in wedges can help for a couple of reasons. First, it can lower flight and stop the ball from ballooning. Second, for short game shots, it gives you more control IMO. I rarely take full swings with my wedges. More like 3/4, 1/2 etc. shots where I’m choking down a 1/2” or more. So the heavier shaft keeps the club feeling the same and the irons.

    • I didn't know until this past week that Rose holds the record for the most times having the lead after day one of The Masters.  He must really love those Day 1 pin placements.
    • I think Rose is great. Much respect to his consistency, professionalism, work off-course and a never give-up attitude. But I have mixed feelings about his Masters campaign. Afterall, the dude came within a putt of ruining the perfect ending to probably the greatest unfinished story in golf. 😱

    • Justin Rose = Adam Scott to me. Their careers and achievements have been incredibly similar. I've always respected Justin, as he's not been content to fade into obscurity or just make a few million a year hanging on to and playing off past achievements.
