I'm watching this video and he mentions "he got himself a little more out onto the front of his feet" and "he's got himself more centred in to back of his feet" in the other comparison https://youtu.be/S8dkDx8YVkI?t=242  Does that mean he puts more weight on the front of his feet than the back?

One more question: how do you create more space for the right arm during impact as mentioned here? He's more tipped over which allows this , I think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8dkDx8YVkI?t=280 Would reducing how much your right forearm can rotate clockwise help with this, duringthe end of your backswing?

The speaker is referring to weight toward the toes or heel when they say front and back.

As for the second part, the player on the right is a little more vertical at set up and early extends on the downswing. Early extension means you straighten up sooner than you should losing hip rotation speed and power. The right elbow can also get stuck behind your side. There are several ways to work on this, but without seeing your swing, it would be hard to comment.

When you say "more vertical at setup" is they caused by using a higher lie angle on the irons, or something else?

He mentioned he uses 73 degree lie angle but that was from around 2018, while.the video is from 2020, maybe he lowered them?

Or if not, what else can cause you to be more vertical at setup?

Depends on the iron fitting. People raise or lower the hand at impact versus address. So static lie angle at address isn’t a consistent indicator as to how it will be at impact.

Straighter legs, less knee bend. Not bent over as much at waist. Those two joints and some back rounding  in the upper back all add to how much your chest is facing the ground more or not.

This thread covered set up posture. Set up can help other issues as well like early extension.

On what? Even a 6I is generally around low 60°s.

New 620 MB irons from Titleist. The dependability golfers desire with progressive enhancements to ensure you're carrying the best iron on the links.

63.5° there.

    • Day 314 - Putting some things together. Better grip/setup, fuller backswing, better finishing position. Filmed some swings, happy with the progress.
    • Day 130: did a stack session.
    • Day 206 (24 Nov 24)  - An easy session with the 54deg wedge and hard foam balls / one simple goal - distance control thru backswing length while not decelerating.  Had a playing partner comment they noticed me decelerating on a couple short wedge shots in last round.  Hit from distances from close to 40yds down to 20.
    • Musgrove Mill hole #15 was converted to a par 3 after Hurricane Helene. Today, I had 145 from the tee which is a perfect 9-iron for me. I aimed just right of the hole and pulled it a few feet. Clanked off the stick down into the hole and ricocheted out of the hole 13’ away. Drained the putt for a birdie after repairing the hole which was damaged . Not sure if it would have counted as a HIO, but I was pretty excited!
    • Day 55 - 2024-11-24 Did five levels of Operation 36 on GSPro (different courses). 🙂 Was -4 from 200 yards (32) intentionally laying up on each hole (i.e. not hitting a 5I or something). Shot… 22, 24, 26 from 25, 50, and 100 yards. I forget my 150-yard score, but obviously it was < 36. Putting was odd… (and I did it with the wedge or a 7I or whatever was in my hand).
