many types of fabric but this style

They will beat their swords into golf clubs and their spears into putters. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Old Tom Morris 2:4

i could be a cowboy then...ride on!

don't know if you're saying this to be a cowboy so folks know you're a bonafide hetero but cowboy hats have become quite popular in gay culture since "brokerback mountain" and so there is still a big presumption of gayness with the wearing of cowboy attire. what i do when i wear my cowboy hat so folks don't think i'm gay is that i spill some food like tomato sauce on the front of my shirt or nick myself while shaving

Probably so.

In all fairness I have seen people wear t-shirts under suits, blazers, sport coats, and otherwise. I have also seen people wear coats with jeans... which looks like

in my opinion... but what can I do. I do agree that a "mock" has a collar though.
Most clubs have relaxed the policy to include mock turtlenecks, which in my opinion is probably due to Tiger wearing them so often

indeed... Montreal is weird and most places allow for such attire. Interesting post though.

tiger wears some pretty boring attire

I completely agree... life is boring on the PGA as far as fashion goes... the bright colors worn by Sergio, Poulter, and others just doesn't do it for me either. I want to see some nice throwback attire. Payne Stewart was damn cool in those knickers, and plaid is solid... well not solid... but definately nifty. I own a straw hat just for the record... and I love it on those super sunny days when the sun is just beating on you.

My Clubs: Callaway FT-i Tour LCG 9.5° w/ Matrix Ozik Xcon 6 stiff; Sonartec GS Tour 14° w/ Graphite Design Red Ice 70 stiff; Adams Idea Pro 2h(18°) & 3h(20°) w/ Aldila VS Proto 80 stiff; Adams Idea Pro Forged 4-PW w/ TT Black Gold stiff; Cleveland CG12 DSG RTG 52°-10° & 58°-10°; Odyssey...

Id like to see Rupert Bear trousers and hard collars come back in to fashion. Alternatively, plus fours for real style. Perhaps we should ban all Nike apparel from golf courses in an attempt to curb homogenisation.

So you never wear college or Pro sports hats??

No, I wear baseball caps. I wear a mets cap to a baseball game, or my high school's golf team cap sometimes when I play, or a Brooklyn Cyclones cap I also own.

My problem(not really a problem, more like a 'pet peeve' ) is with people who voluntarily fork over cash to wear a hat with a golf equipment logo one it(ie big nike swoosh, Callaway logo, Taylormade logo, titleist logo, etc). Even worse is when they buy them especially to match thier clubs. You're playing right into their hands. You would never wear a cap like this unless your favorite pro(who is paid to wear it) wore one.
thank you

absolutely. I understand the pros wearing the logos, but at least you know, wear clothes that fit. ie polo shirts sleeves should not reach past the elbow, shouldn't be swimming in your slacks, etc. Conversly, I am also not a fan of Sergio's monochrome gold outfits with the tight pants either(I hope he isn't planning to have kids). I also don't like big logos on my shirts(way to many people are doing this. Showing thier wealth with a patch on thier breast).

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
