Just a heads up, November through March I have Junior Elite from 8am to 2:00 on Saturdays and 9am to 1:30 on Sundays. Happy to do some GEARS sessions afterward, but the Friday to Saturday morning or Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning times won't quite work.

You can practice (outside of GEARS, or maybe in it if I'm able to get you started), so it's not a complete no-go during those times. We just have to make sure we understand what can and can't be done.

    • Yes, the impact of training and stuff is somewhat unknown. What's not unknown is how many more competitors they'd have to beat. Jack played against club pros. Tiger faced stronger fields in all of his regular PGA Tour events than Jack ever faced in his prime.

    • Worked on my swing again this morning. @iacas had me tweak my setup a bit first. Get a little further from the ball, a little more bent over and a little more knee bend. Here was last week: And today Result is giving myself a bit more room and having my arms hang more vertical. I used the same arm feels in the drill, extending right arm and having the club go behind me, but we added a shift on the my left leg while lowering the club, then kicking my left butt cheek back during the turn. It looks pretty good in the drill. On a 50% swing, the butt is not quite getting there. There’s a Latin term for this I think, something like Incomprehendia Buttox. Need to keep working on this. The arms look better. Face on with the drill I’m trying to get more weight on the left side before doing the turn. This one could have had a more exaggerated weight shift. I also topped the little fella badly. 50% impact looks a bit better but not quite there. I rehearsed the weight shift better.   Did a few short pitches at the end of the session.
    • The physical aspect of being bigger is one thing.  The most important though is the training today.  Kids start training for their sport at a young age and it has become very scientific.  Assuming the athletes of older generations also trained in the same way, the impact it would have is unknown.  There are professional athletes who have found that losing too much weight and gaining more muscle hasn't always benefited their game and natural abilities
    • Day 529, April 13, 2024 Did something to my right hip, so slow motion stuff with the backswing while simultaneously stretching/pushing that hip… It was hurt a bit on Monday, too, but the soccer game last night wasn't particularly wise, perhaps. 😉
