That's BS. 1 word remaining should mean one word remaining.

Yeah - there is a list of valid wordle words - I forget how many are on it, but it must be getting close to needing to repeat some. There are a lot more words that have five letters and work - things like plurals and verbs that end with -s or -ed, which are not in the word list and won't be the answer. Sometimes those words are useful to help narrow things down some, so they're valid words to use. Then apparently there are some words that are just "unusual" - that seems pretty obnoxious to me - especially when they're not really any more obscure than the actual answer that day.

I think they have over 6 years of words and about 2500 words in the dictionary. No plurals, no proper nouns (like Mazda or Paris), etc.

So, yeah, they're coming up on repeating stuff.

They did have their first repeat earlier this year - on February 2nd I think - nice little easter egg type thing.

    • I have nothing to add other than the fact that I freaking hate playing in the wind. I'm a mental midget and any kind of wind completely throws me off.
    • When I got the right word out of 17, yes. Today supposedly there was only 1 word remaining, and I tried a bunch that were rejected. So less so today. I generally assume they're being jerks. So, when there are 10, I'm generally pretty good about picking one of the weirder ones and it works out.
