Hello!

During my whole golfing career I have had a low ball flight. I am playing with a high handicap but hope to improve this year. Lately I have, with the help of launch monitor, tried to understand what I do wrong. I have an example here with some data

This is with a hybrid with 23 degrees of loft. Is it that the hit is too high on the face, or anything else that causes this? I read that usually a hybrid should get atleast around 25 meters of height. My shots are always in the range of 10-15 meters, and this also causes a too long roll and too short carry distance ass you can see.

Welcome to TST.   We're glad you've joined.   I'm not an expert but there will be others here shortly that will give you some great advice.

From my novice opinion, your example, you are hitting the ball way too high on the face.   The loft of the club will get the ball airborne sufficiently.

But he said he's not, and it's launching at 11.2°.

Your smash factor is too high, and so you're doing a little too much of two things:

  • too much shaft lean
  • too much downward AoA

That leads to too flat a face and a smash factor of 1.47. With a hybrid it should be much closer to 1.4. Even the really high 1.39s.

At about 78 MPH, you need the height to maximize your carry yardage. PGA Tour players swing their 7I at about 91 MPH.
