I got my Hyper X non tour, stock Fujikura regular flex shaft, about 6 or 7 weeks ago. I am very fond of it and have hit some of my best drives with it. I had no intention of buying this driver. I went to Golfsmith to try out the new Cobra composite driver. I also tried the TaylorMade CBG Max. I never asked the salesman about the Callaway. He just handed it to me after I hit the TaylorMade. The numbers on the launch monitor showed I popped the Callaway a bit straighter and more consistent than the others.

My experience on the course has shown me that it is every bit as forgiving as the Cobra LD Fspeed it replaced and, for whatever reason, I am able to get the ball down the fairway a bit farther with the Hyper X than with my Cobra.

I couldn't be happier with the Hyper X.

i tried this out last weekend. (my ft-5 got cracked and i had to send it callaway to see if they will send me a new one). but the hyper x is a pretty nice club, it was the regular not tour. it was working great for me. 13 out of 14 drives were perfect down the middle with atleast 265 yards on all of the drives. the 1 that missed, i didn't get the face closed in time and hit it out right but further than everyone else in my grouping. i would recommend this driver but if you can get the ft-5, go for it. only thing i don't like about the
ft-5 is the sound when you hit it. sounds like a loud click.

The responses have come from two double digit handicappers (thanks, guys). Is there no lower handicap players playing this club? Is it too new to ask for opinions?

Perhaps the lower handicappers don't care so much for a club that maximizes distance on off-center hits? They might be more in line with the FT-5 or something...
