A good deal?

I'm in the Dallas, TX area for until the end of the month for work. I'm up on roofs all day and wanted to get a hat. I stopped at a local Golf Etc. and was looking at Titleist hats. I mentioned to the owner that I was also interested in the Mizuno MP-57s. He said that he had a few sets, one of which was the DGS300 shafts, which seem to fit my swing right.

The list on these was $850, the same as everywhere else. He said that if I paid for them today he would let them go for $699. He regripped with new midsize GP new decades for all 8 and threw in the $20 hat for $699 + tax. He even offered to ship them home for me since I don't want to take them on the plane, which I declined since I want to hit them in the next few days.

I'm so freakin' excited about these clubs!

Of course thats a cool deal, thats real service right there. Dropping the price and offering to ship them home. I wish I had a person like that, hopefully theres nothing wrong with them.

Yeah thats pretty much the opposite of the service i receive at my local golf shop.

"This kid is covered in tattoos he obviously has no money and knows nothing of golf..."

even though ive probably spent over a billion dollars in the last 3 weeks there... I have to actually go find a sales person to come help me and when I finally get one they are always looking around like they have something else to do... Man that shizzz makes me mad...
