I have an old wedge in my bag that I use for just about everything.
Don't really know what it is.
It says its a Tomahawk "DW" Chico Miartuz signature model..

Ideas?

GW is gap wedge
PW is pitching wedge
SW is sand wedge
DW is ????????????????????????

I don't know to be honest besides probably guessing that its a club that was sponsored by him. He made a killing back in 1983...or did he :)

The wedge between PW and SW seems to go by more names than just about any other club. I've seen it as AW and UW also. So, if I had to guess - and this is strictly a guess - I would place it at GW.

AW is usually Approach Wedge or Attack Wedge. I have no idea what UW stands for, or what DW would stand for.

And idea what the face angle is? Like was stated above, wedges have been given a lot of different designations by a lot of different companies over the years.

Ah ha, found it. Dual Wedge.

"Dual Wedge"

Same thing as a Gap Wedge, also known as an AW, or "Attack Wedge".

What's in my bag:
Cleveland Hibore XLS Monster Driver
TourEdge Exotics 2,3,4 hybrid irons
Tommy Armour 845cs Silverbacks 5-PW
Assorted wedges, Ping Scottsdale Anser

I believe UW stands for utility wedge, I have seen TW for third wedge instead of LW for lob wedge also. I vote for something more fun when you curse like the old niblik, mashie etc. #*!#* mashie etc.

Ding. I have a 52º dual wedge. Kinda like a high bounce gap wedge, so it functions like a sand wedge also.

    • Day 22 (12 Feb 25) - Short session with 7i into the net in the backyard.  Was not the best session - struggled in getting the face squared up.  Took a few steps back and did a reset.  Better contact second time around.
    • Nope, and a bit too expensive for what I usually spend on clothing. Not sure if these pants are the kind where they are like business casual but also can be worn while doing athletic stuff (like working out).  I do own a pair of pants from VRST, and like them a lot. They got a business casual look, but very stretchy. I forgot my gym shorts to volleyball on Monday. I had these pants on and had no issues. You can literally go from work to the gym. .
    • 100%.  Currently, it takes me several shots of various progressions to make my brain even trust that it will work.  It is so opposite from the feelings I have had for years.  And forget about adding any speed at the moment. That is just a recipe to fall back on the old habit
    • I haven't either. But there doesn't seem to be any reason why at least the pants would create any issues.
