I have just got my new clubs which are 3° upright (im 6f3) and i have been used to playing with standard clubs, so far i have noticed a lot of shots comming off the toe or towards the toe end... does anyone have any tips for me to help dial in these new clubs? i knew i would have to adjust my swing to these new clubs but just looking for some advice (will prob also get a lesson or 2) has anyone else been in a similar situation?

I got measured up and the lie board/tape said i needed more upright clubs, they also put some tape on the front of the club and got me to hit a ball and that confirmed it.. does this sound right?

I'm 6'3 and use standard clubs, and they seem to be fine... maybe I should get fitted though.

Dam now im worried that they may be wrong for me!! I think it might be a good investment to get a few lessons with the new sticks to see if they are right or more importantly if im swinging them right!!

Personally, I would have looked for a good professional club fitter and have him/her evaluate and fit me with a set. What do I know? I’ve been playing with the same irons for 13 years (bought off the rack).

I think you should get some lessons to make sure. i think (without seeing your swing of course) that being 6.3 you should be looking at at least 1 or 2 degrees upright.

My mate who is 6.4 or 6.5 plays with 3 degrees upright.

    • Timing yes, feeling maybe not exactly 😉 Weight shift forward can start as early as A3. Weight shift is a lateral sway.

    • That sounds good. And, yeah, the default camera app tries to take in as much light as possible.
    • Good tip. You can’t set the shutter speed manually on the built-in camera app on an iPhone, but it’s possible with a different app. I bought the ProCam 8 ($9.99), where you can set everything manually. For videos, I can set it to a maximum of 1/1600-1800. I tried 60 and 240 FPS, and even at 60 FPS the video is much better with higher shutter speed than the built-in app where you can’t control the shutter speed. You can see the face angle in every frame, while on the built-in app with 240 FPS the entire club is a blur. And that’s with only a pair of portable LED work lights.
