You kind of answered your own question. Stay still over the ball, the less lower body movement the better. Then get set, maybe even pause for a second before starting your downswing. If you want to have a count in your head to help rhythm that is good too.

i saw this drill somewhere, cant remember where though. stick a shaft in the ground right up against youre back foot and swing. the goal is to not hit the shaft or move it.

you can do it either way. this pic shows how to do it so you dont sway forward.

If you have an old shaft, stick it in the ground on the outside of your right shoe(if you're a righty), and if you sway you'll hit it with your hips or legs on the way back. See if that will help, and good luck!

swing around your head. imagine that there is an axis running from the top of your noggin to the crack in your behind. with the exception of turning (not swaying) your hips, try to make that imaginary line stay perfectly still

I recommend you bump your back hip and knee toward the target (inside your back foot) at address. That will preset you in a position that will discourage excessive movement laterally away from the ball. If you look at a lot of pros you will see this bumped position at setup.

Place a golfball under the outside edge of your right foot. By doing this it will restrict you from swaying back. Stand up where ever you are and give it a try, also it is easy to do on the range without looking like a weekend golfer with "Tin Cup" gizmos all over the place...

Simple and one of the best ways I've found to stop sway or ankle roll. It forces you to keep the weight on the inside of the right foot.

As a kid I had this affliction. Learned to keep flex in my right knee and that seemed to stop the big sway. It is okay to load up on the right side but the killer is when you get outside of inside edge of the right foot ( hope that does not confuse you ).

Hit some 7 irons with your knees knocked in ( a la Arnold Palmer putting stance).

If you sway standing like that... " seek your local PGA professional...."
