DeWiz Training Aid

Recommended Posts

Anyone have or use a DeWiz?

I bought one a few months back and love the immediate biofeedback (it will shock your wrist right as you go outside the tolerances you set).

I used the transition training every day for about 2 weeks (I was struggling with an over the top move and the sensor helped me get a new feel that was WAY different from anything  I would’ve tried without the feedback).

Planning to do the distance wedge training at least once a week next season.

That being said I wish deWiz allowed me to measure and practice with biofeedback using more parameters (currently limited to length of backswing, tempo and transition). A couple params that come to mind are max hand speed and then the distance from impact that the max speed occurs.

What does that mean here?

Like, what about the transition is it "measuring"?

Good question.

from the deWiz website “deWiz’s Transition measures how far over-the-top or under-the-top your downswing is compared to your backswing plane”

My words… it measures the direction of the Handpath when the sensor changes direction and gives a positive or negative number (with 0 being labeled “on plane”).

I'm seriously considering the deWiz but its not cheap!

I guess my main question is, is it worth it for a Mr Average like me?  15 handicap.

(first post by the way.  Hi)

Hey! Welcome

Hard to say. What are your current practice habits? Which features were you drawn to?
