Speed Training Recommendation - Superspeed, Stack System, or ?.

Recommended Posts

Hello!  I’m hoping to get opinions and thoughts from the group on whether I should get a SuperSpeed or Stack System. I’m leaning towards the Stack although slightly more expensive because it seems to have a better long term training / maintenance program.  But if the SuperSpeed can do the same thing for less money that’s great.

If it matters my current driver swing speed averages around 87-ish based on indoor simulator.

Thanks in advance!

We have a whole thread on it. I’ve done the SuperSpeed, but if I had to choose from scratch, I’d opt for the Stack System.

So I did the SuperSpeed Sticks and followed the protocols for a few months and gained 7 mph from 99 to 106 and  retained a solid 4 mph at a 103 average (150ish ball speed) that has not left me. I read a lot on this forum about what was essential for gains and just started doing right side drills only with my lightest stick and then swinging the driver with my legs together to keep my arm speed up for maintenance (back and forth as fast and loose as I can for 10 reps and 3 sets). Again, 4 mph has not left me with very little effort to maintain and I can go a little harder if needed.

My brother asked me the same question you posed and I sent him this video. Before you get into a system, take a listen to this guy. If you can do this for a month, then check out the other systems. My SuperSpeed Stick experience is that it works if you work it but I think I would prefer a one stick system.

The Stack is, hands down and bar none, the best platform.

That's why there's a link (that saves you money) in the sidebar, not because I make $5 or whatever from it. Reputation isn't worth that. The Stack is by incredibly smart people.

    • Patrick Cantlay standing over the ball at the 2018 PGA Championship haha. Dunno what the story behind this is. But at the 2012 Players, Kevin Na was going through some rough swing thought stuff. This article I linked below says he was fixing early extension at the time while also trying to get used to feeling less weight in heels at address, and tho he hit it better than with his old swing, he had a really tough time with it, even in practice rounds. https://vault.si.com/vault/2016/01/18/kevin-na-fit-be-tied-just-ask-him   Anyway, just a couple high level examples of this.
    • Yes, but they break every 5-7 years. So… Meh. I'm looking at alternatives. I also don't like how they call it a lifetime warranty… but give you $25 off a product (I was looking to get the Munich if I stuck with MoneyClamps).
    • Day 141 - 2025-02-18 Did work at home. I have a few long days at Golf Evolution so I didn't want to spend a LOT of time there today. 😄
    • I purchased this one in November of 2018 from Amazon and it has held up incredibly well considering the price point.  Amazon.com But I am also starting to look for a new one now though because it gets annoying whenever I have cash because the bills get folded in half so the thickness increases quickly with just a few bills plus its a major pain when someone hands me change to try and get it back into the wallet in the correct order and folded in half properly especially if I'm carrying bags or items or something else. That part has always bugged me it's just gotten annoying enough lately to where I want something different.    Edit: @iacas are you aware that there's a lifetime warranty on yours? Looks like you could get a new one for like $25
    • Before 2005-ish, I had a leather tri-fold wallet. For about the last 20 years, I've used this: https://moneyclamp.com/collections/core/products/geneva-black-matte-rfid-wallet. Many of you have or had them, too: I gave them out at Newport Cups and some other things, I think. Well, the metal fatigues and they break every 5-7 years or so. I had three from the TST order back nearly 20 years ago, but my last one broke yesterday. In my wallet right now, I have about six credit or debit cards on one side (some personal, some business), things like my PGA card, health insurance card, etc. on the other side, and my driver's license and digital business card (NFC and QR code) in the middle, with anywhere between ten and whatever number of bills this shows (I thinned this out a bit after taking this photo, but admittedly I like paying for things in cash, particularly from small businesses or to tip): I see, like many of you probably do, all those wallet ads on Instagram. Or Kickstarter. There are a lot of options out there. So, for those of you who carry wallets and who still carry some cash… (TBH I'm more likely to drop some credit/debit cards from my wallet and just use them via Apple Pay than I am to not carry more than a few bills of cash) what wallet are y'all using? What's good? I don't think I want one of those "all metal" wallets, but maybe that's just the updated version of what I have now, and maybe that's fine. I've seen the money clip type things that are magnetic, but… I feel like those might only work with about six bills of "thickness." Otherwise, it feels like it'd have to be a strong magnet, and I'm not sure I want a strong magnet on my wallet as I chuck it in my golf bag, a cart, near my phone, by credit cards or hotel door keys… etc. So, again… what do y'all use? Or am I just really old and nobody uses wallets?
