My Favorite Putts

Have another one to add to this list.

Charity scramble yesterday, had 45 feet left for eagle severely back to front sloped green, I was the last one to putt in my group, nobody else came close to holing it, I played about 6 feet of break out to the left and had perfect pace and the ball kept trickling down and finally entered the cup 90 degrees left of straight on for an eagle.

Hit my second from deep fescue further into the crap and the ball was sitting up kind of floating in it for my third. I choked down all the way to the shaft and kind of bunt pitched it out and onto the green. Hilariously made the 40 footer to save par.

In hindsight, I should have taken an unplayable after the drive. I was close enough to the rough that I could have gotten a decent lie out of it for my third. That’s something I really need to work on.

I should add this putt to my list, for a number of reasons:

• This is my nemesis hole. I've been playing from the blue tees instead of the back so I've been hitting driver off the tee, but it's a tough shot.
• I was in the fescue twice. My friend (8 handicap) who I was in a friendly match against was getting his hopes up that the wheels were coming off my round after I made a triple bogey 6 on the 7th. He parred the hole, but I made net birdie to crush his dreams.
• It was a difficult putt. It broke almost 4' left to right. I said something to the effect of, "I'm supposed to hit the putt just as the gorilla puts his hands over his mouth, right?" before I hit it.

I went on to win our match... 8&7.
