Does anyone have any additional information on the new Edel wedges? Based on Golf Digests review, they’re going towards what most people would consider traditional and offering low, standard and high bounce options.

Reading reviews on here about their previous offerings, I was sold on the higher bounce they used in their wedges. I’m curious with their new options if they’re just going to be like all the other companies now. I guess time will tell. If I’m wrong and they’re still as good as the previous versions, I’ll definitely be making a trip to see @iacas for a fitting.

I’ve kept this page open thinking maybe an announcement was imminent but no. Nothing. SMS still on the site only. Which are good wedges.

Well they finally came out and it looks like their grind options are following the pack. Interested to hear people’s thoughts.

FWIW…

Looks like the C is what I'd most likely want to do.

Which… is confusing, as the previous grinds were C, D, and P. Plus they had the V and T. Here's a comparison of sorts between those three: C, V, and T.

I ordered the 56 and 60 in the C grind. I’ll try to remember to update this thread after I get them and have used them a bit.

Did anyone end up trying these (or a 2026 version, if there is one)?  I'm debating new wedges and my inclination is to strongly consider Edel, although I'm wondering how the quality held up after the company was bought and Edel himself left.  I am also debating changing my wedge lineup from 54/58 (going after a 49.5 degree U at the end of the iron set) to 52/56 and figured a fitting might help me figure that out too.

My daughter had and used a pair of the SMS Pro wedges. They no longer really have many of the SMS with which I was more familiar.
