I am currently using an older R510 TP, which I love, but wondering if I am missing out on the latest tech. What do you all think from your experiences with newer drivers?

If you were using a 3-year-old or 5-year-old driver, I'd be quick to assure you that you probably aren't going to get much more out of the latest tech.

However, in this case, your driver is 20 years old. So, yes, you are probably missing out on the latest tech.

If you are hitting your R510 out of the dead center every single time, you may see a few yard improvement by going to the latest tech. If you are scattering some shots around the face you are likely to see more. How much more will depend upon a lot of factors. Bring your R510 to a reputable fitter and compare it head to head with some of the latest and greatest. Then you will know for sure.

Good luck, enjoy the process, new drivers are fun to shop for.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

I loved that driver, but it is over 20 years old and less than 400cc. You are definitely missing out on technology. Current drivers are better optimized for current golf balls. Engineers have better utilized weight design, head size, face thickness, shaft adjustability for loft, lie angle, and face alignment. You could easily find both more yards and consistency with a driver fitting. Good luck!
