I have a problem with my drives that they consistently curve severly to the right as soon as i hit them. This happens every time. I just got a new driver callaway hyper x tour and the first few shots with it have been fine but now its back to my old ways and what i was like with my old driver. I have a g5 5wood and i have no problems hittin it straight at all.

Did this happen with your previous driver?

What shafts are in the 5-Wood and the driver (current and previous)?

To furthermore add to this:

If you have a stiff shaft and you do not have a fast swing speed, It may do this. I remember hitting a stiff shaft and I did the exact same thing, no matter how I hit it.

Try choking up on the shaft a little and see if that helps. You may be pulling your hands through too fast with the club behind. A pro should be able to help you correct this. Try swinging at 80% instead of a full power swing. That should help too. If not, come to Michigan and I'll give you lessons.

new driver is stiff dunno what the old one is and think the 5 wood is just regular. was trying out new drivers and the pro said i had to get stiff for my swing speed that a regular would be no good to me. i might try get a lesson at the local range and see what the pro there says.

Check out the old driver's shaft. I'll bet, from what you said, that is was R-Flex and you hit it just fine.

By the way, which pro said to get stiff flex? Your teacher? A pro at your club? Or the guy at the shop?

Chances are the shaft is not the issue. Can you tell my why someone with a 26 cap would consider buying a "tour" driver? Typically, "tour" drivers are setup with open faces and a fade bias. This could be what is causing the issue, although I am not sure of the exact setup configuration of that club. If the ball is starting right and curving right, chances are you aren't squaring the club face. Post a video of your swing if possible.

OK, the pro at the shop is selling what he has on hand, more likely than not. I'll bet if you get an R-Flex Mid kick point shaft in just about *any* driver you'll hit it better than your current one. If you get the clubhead and loft right, you'll do great.
