This has always confussed me, you got The Master's, The US Open and the PGA in America and only the British Open.

There are more than enough excellent course's in the UK for a second Major or even Europe.

Considering St Andrew's is the home of Golf there should be more over here,

This is not a rant, just my 2 cents

Anybody have any idea's

I completely agree!

Get the pros playing a links course in April with the wind blowing and the ice cold rain! that would sort the men from the boys. There are even some amazing course in the southern hemisphere or even in the middle east!
Golf is a game whose aim is to hit a very small ball into an even smaller hole, with weapons singularly ill-designed for the purpose.

Surely you aren't like that woman who wondered in print why the Masters can't be held elsewhere? Plainly, the U.S. Open and British Open must be held in their respective countries, too. This leaves the PGA Championship. I think it's in America because the PGA of America started as a prestigious event for professionals in an era when top amateurs dominated golf. There are other countries' PGA Championships, but they aren't majors.
