It depends on how you want to play. I play a lot of hilly courses and courses that contain anywhere between three and six holes where the tee box is above the green and fairway. Therefore, I'm more interested in flight than run and the perfect ball for me is the DT Carry. It does not run much and is perfect off the irons: nice and high with a soft landing. It's also not a high spinning ball so I get good distance. The lower spin gives me ideal launch angles and spin rate. For me, the my top 5 balls are: 1) DT Carry 2) Hogan Hawk-A tremendous ball, too. 3) Precept Laddie Extreme 4) DT Solo 5) Bridgestone E5 If you're willing to do some shopping, I suggest Ebay and rockbottomgolf. You can get all these balls, near new condition, for the fraction of the price. If you ever want to play a round of golf, let me know.

hi thanks - I have been toying with trying the e-5 - i like balls with lower driver spin but some bite for the greens but I like to allow the ball to release to the hole- at my level i rarely suck them back. so maybe I will try the e5

Absolutely. Additionally, we could play SR or Pelham. Both were in good shape when I was there, last week.

I'm in know way a single handycapper, all it took for me was to just try a titleist 755, I had no idea these clubs were made for better players I just bought what felt good. After I bought the 755 I decided to try the 907d2 well look what happened After I got started it was to hard to quit

CPM is what determines flex in a driver. Based on the data, the fitter can optimize this for you.

OK, you just won today's "Stump The Old Guy" contest.

What does CPM stand for?

Cycles Per Minute.

Has to do with the resonant frequency of the shaft, or something of that matter.

I just got back from the range. I am changed man for the better. I have never hit a driver so accurate. this titliest 907 D2 driver is awesome. I had a graphite design Y-6 stiff shaft installed and I hit it so well and it sounds and feels terrific. Way better to me then my R-7 and FT-5. My ball flight was mostly straight with either a slight fade (open stance) or draw (more closed. and the best part is I can really swing at it and and the misses werent so magnified as with the regular shafted drivers. also - I am so happy to have a square clubface - I just seem to hit the ball better!

Out of all the drivers I've played in my golf career I have to be honest and say Titleist drivers have been the most played/tried. The ONE thing I can tell most people what the difference is that with their drivers you don't get penalized that bad with bad shots..they're not going to spray all ove the place..I've noticed they're either pulls or pushes..I've never had a "banana" slice or hook..something to consider.

and after some of my recent experience with different shafts i would say its even more important to get a good shaft that fits your swing than what driver you get... is that crazy? i think not.

    • Attempting to lift. Any better?
    • Day 82: mirror work again tonight. Working on the same shoulder down and roll and twist stuff. Going on vacation tomorrow and putting the clubs down, so new streak starts in about 10 days!
    • Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)
    • Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.
