I am partial to the Taylor Made Tour Red...

Heh, no such thing for a different reason...

And I have a hard time believing the both of you like an NXT over, say, the Pro V1 for "feeliest."

Played ProV 1's and it was a different kind of feel for me. A little too spinny. NXT tour seems to give me the best feel. As for the Taylor Made...My apologies, I guess they are called TP Red. You can still get them just about anywhere and on clearance too.

If that's how you define "feeliest," then this thread needs a definition of "feeliest," because everyone's gonna be different. No way is an NXT "feelier" than a Pro V1 (or even a Pro V1x) to me, after all.

It's certainly not softer, which I suppose is for me a big proponent of "feeliest."

To me the Pro V1 is the "feeliest" ball - especially off the putter. It almost feels mushy. Some of the other premium balls may be just as soft or softer, but the sound is just different. Even the HX Tour 56 felt "clickier" to me off the putterface, but by most people's accounts it is a softer ball. My personal favorite feel is that of the Pro V1x. I've compared it extensively to the Pro V1 and the Taylormade TP Red. It's slightly "clickier" than the Pro V1, but not to the same degree as the other balls I've tried (Bridgestone B330-s, Nike One Black, Srixon Z-URC, Callaway HX Tour 56, Taylormade Red and Black TP - not LDP).
Callaway FT-9 Tour I-mix 9.5° Driver (Fujikura Zcom Pro 65 stiff)
Mizuno F-50 15° 3w (Exsar FS2 stiff)
Bridgestone J36 19° Hybrid (Aldila VS Proto 80 stiff)
Adams Idea Pro 23° Hybrid (Aldila VS Proto 80 stiff)

true 56 is no longer, but I've bought a batch of floridas, hoping the i's will be as good or better when it arrives.

As with clubs, it all comes down to taste at one point or another. But still, if one ask for advice on a clube for shaping shots, you will get lots of advices, but few will say Callaway Fusion Wide Sole or something like it, just as asking for a "n00b" set few will say CG1. Same reason for this thread, as a starting point on where to go, having basically only hit random balls when I started it.
If you look back here, no-one said "take the solid balls, wow at the feel!". Strange eh?

But basically the same balls show up that people like, though with different things to say about them. This can depend on what we feel we get response from, our equipment, the equipments material & inlays, belly putters or traditional ones, body build, "swing" etc.

My favorite "feel" and yet mid capper ball was the Maxfli Rev. red dot. But I just found out they are not producing these anymore. (Going instead to the LOCO branding. I just can't bring myself to hit a ball that says LOCO.) Next to this I would say the NXT Tour, but I struggle paying that much per dozen. So I am off to using the Nike SFT distance. Played a round the other day, managed to lose only 1 ball. They played very well off the irons/woods, and were very consistant off the putter.
