Thanks for all the help guys! Great suggestions and exactly what I am looking for.

Good choice on set-up (3W, 19 hybrid and a 60* wedge. You may want to try the following other brands: 3 Wood: Ping G10 15.5* very easy to hit, would even act as your 2nd driver for the short and tight par 4s or as your second shot on those long par 5s. Great off both the tee and on the deck. Hybrids: G10 18* if you can hit the above then you can definitely hit these. Clevelan Hibore XL 19* - the most workable hybrid i've owned. I can't be bothered by its newer brother the xls -this stays in the bag. Its definitely a go to club off the tee, bad lies on the deck and even around the greens. the plus side is that its already on sale (check out global golf etc.) On your question on wedges' shaft - steel of course- there is no substitute for control. What "other club" to get? You can: 1) Get a 22* hybrid to fill in gap between your 18* hybrid and 4 iron (but you may find out while on the course- you may not need to cover those gaps a lot of the times). or 2) 52* Gap wedge to help you with those in between PW and SW shots. And oh- don't mind my set in my sig, am probably almost 2x your age, a weekend golfer and love to play around with my wood-hybrids combination (after my 3w i have an 18* 5W, a 19* hybrid ansd a 22* hybrid iron) these are what work for me. I used to have a wedge set (52*, 56* and 60*) shelve them (except the 60* which doubles as my SW)and learned to play chip and run with my hybrid, my 7 and 9 irons. One of these days either the 5W or the 22* hybrid iron will go for a vactaion.

Short of a local rule stating otherwise, yes.

For obvious reasons, you aren't allowed this in 5-club tournaments.
