Reading Greens

Recently I read an article in Golf Magazine about how missing your intermediate target by as much as the width of a tee can affect the final position of your ball by as much as 4 inches on a 10 foot putt.

To read breaks while practicing, I use the Exelys Breakmaster Green Reader:

http://www.exelys.com/ Just reading the manual will give you an idea regarding break. Even 1 degree of break needs 3-4 inches of compensation and that number goes up as you get further from the hole.
