I have developed an idea for a new tee awhile ago and without giving away to many ideas, I would like a little feedback please. Do you care what your tee is made of ie: resin, wood, plastic, other. Would you prefer to use a re-usable tee compared to a one use tee if it looked and performed like a traditional wooden tee? What would be the factors that would convince you to use a re-usable tee instead of a traditional tee? price, evironmental friendlyness, multi use? Or do you think there is no room for a new product, nothing is wrong with what we got so why try. Or you hate having to buy a bag of tees all the time and would like something else besides whats on the market. resin, wood, brush. Thanks for the input guys

There is no gap in the market for this, there are already plastic tee's and castle tee's which are reusable, even wooden tee's are reusable.

There would be no way of making any serious money from this venture.

with what we have now on the market I don't think it would be needed to add another tee, unless it had some sort of outstanding feature

I have no idea what the OP has in mind so I cannot say whether he cannot make $$ in this market (that's why entrepreneurs have a vision others who are less creative cannot see).

That said, something reusable (regardless of composition) is one characteristic I'd like to see, and secondly, the tee would really have to offer something of a unique detail performance-wise.

Wooden tees are all I use. Don't care if I lose or break them. Look around and you can usually find all you need. Never really had to spend any money on tees.

I don't know what the above tee does to the club face. But it is cool. You could make Platinum or gold.

I would prefer a move away from Bristles.

My favorite nonconventional is the Zero Friction.

What I would like to see is :
Improved performance
Some marker for consistent set up
Long standing durability
Stability in the ground
Easy to put into any ground condition
Something that wouldn't damage the golf club or the lawn mowers for the course
Don't care if it is necessarily eco friendly (but it would be better)

You can buy a bag of 1000 wooden tees for like 40 Euro here - I'd say I break 3 a round (depending on how soft/hard the ground is). So like i'd get 300+ rounds of golf for 40 Euro. That's 3 years worth.

To justify buying a re-usable (unbreakable) tee - it would want to cost no more than a Euro (1.40 dollars) and i'd never want to lose it.

I think there is a gap in the market. I play stinger tees and love them (sometimes play courses with really firm teeboxes), and wish I could get a 1inch or 3/4 inch tee for par 3's. I know I (and others) use broken tees for those shots, and sometimes for a stinger 3 wood, but don't see them on the market. So if your product is a shorter stinger tee then id buy it.

I use the Zero Friction tee. It's re-usable and biodegradeable, and it lasts forever. I carry two around right now, and they're 2 of the 3 I had last August.

Tees are pretty basic, yet people are quite finicky about them! I've tried Stingers (had trouble balancing the ball on that small head) i've used RockeTees, and liked them, but in hard ground, they are difficult to put in, Brush Tees don't always have the right height. Wooden tees are the "go back to" tee. Cheap, different lengths, and different colours, which makes me always wonder why i keep trying different kinds all the time?

Willie, look for Epoch tees. They are unbreakable, low-friction, and they are sold in a pack that includes forty 2.75" tees and ten 1.5" tees for about $6-7.
