I'd like to give away a free Scorecard license each week. If you can come up with a better way to do it than my idea, you'll win the first one (and we'll use your idea to give away the licenses).

My idea is to either give one to the "Forum Topic of the Week" thread starter OR to the best question or comment we receive at podcast@thesandtrap.com or on our podcast posts (like this one ).

Mix it up, use several different ways to win, alternate weekly..best topic one week, best question on podcast next week, best comment on forum, sand trap fantasy league winner one week(or sectional winners, overall winner, you get the idea),it will keep your options open and give you room to think up new ones or improve upon others. Just announce it the week prior, make a sticky(or whatever the hell you young whipper-snappers call them).

As I said,

The First One To Refer a certain ammount of friends to the forum can win the first one. Maybe mix it up a little and make a different Idea the next time to win the second one.

I personally enjoy trivia. VERY difficult trivia. The first to respond with the correct answer wins. Very simple. The tough part is coming up with multi-part questions or a single question difficult enough that a simple google search doesn't give up the answer. I think this would be a much easier thing to do than make a judgement call on the "thread of the week". You may end up having people starting thread after thread just trying to come up with a great topic.

What about a picture scavenger hunt. List several items that needs to be taken a picture with yourself in the picture or some other way to verify that the pics were not just ripped from the net.

BTW, I'm not commenting for about a week on any of the ideas posted here because I don't want to steer the ideas one way or the other. I'd like to see free-form ideas without any perceived "guidance" from me.

So just because I don't respond doesn't mean I like (or dislike) the idea.

how about a "One pic, one shot" poll. Say one day a week (let's just choose monday for ease), Monday all pics will have to be turned in (one pic per member per week). A poll can then be set up with all pictures and have the forum members vote. The one with the most votes by Saturday wins the license. Pictures would have to be golf related and once a member wins, they can no longer submit pictures.

Here's an idea that I had, let me know what you think.

Being that Erik, you are the admin of the sight, you tend to have a pretty good wealth of knowledge on all things golf related. People usually tend to listen to your recommendations/advice/reviews/etc. This idea would require a little (not much, but a little) more work on your part, but.....reading and replying to posts is already something that you do on a regular basis, so not much more "work" really.

Create a new forum under The Clubhouse called "Ask Iacas" and this will be where people go to ask anything that may be on their mind that they think you would have the answer too. I see questions directed to you all of the time under equipment reviews and such that are unrelated to the actual review itself, asking opinions on other lines of clubs, balls, and so on. From the Ask Iacas forum the best question each day/week can be entered in for a chance at the free weekly license. Don't have any limitations, other than being golf related, if even that. It might allow people some insight into the mind of the guy behind the site.

It might be fun too.

    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
    • Day 22: Hit balls with 7-iron using mevo+ to track dispersion. Was out for a long time after work; 86 balls but the first 50+ were 50% swings focusing on top of backswing feel and then just hitting the ball as a psychic reward. Finished with 20 balls close to full speed. Pretty happy with dispersion and also no horrendous misses. I’m chunking my priority piece out into two separate feels, first and more important is the position/balance at top of backswing which is what I was working on. Once I have that engrained I’ll move to transition part.
    • FWIW I never really had issues with the previous generation of Snells. But… I'm not sure I played them a ton, either.
    • I know Dean Snell designed the original Pro V along with a couple of other brands tour balls.  How exactly does the Snell ball have problems.  Did he change something in the design or is a manufacturing error since he cannot afford the unlimited R&D budgets of the big manufacturers to iron out flaws
