I have a Hibore with the stock reg flex shaft and its way to flexable for me so im upgrading to a stiff shaft ive narrowed it down to these two, does anyone have a HiBore with either one of these shafts, or which one do people think would be better, i have a smooth tempo with a 6i swing speed of 88 - 90

Dont know about those shafts, but an NV 65-s has made my HiBore a much, much better club over when I had a Fuji reg flex. Not much help in answering your question, I know, but I freakin love this shaft

I have both... Prolaunch Blue in my G10 and V2 in my L4V (10* heads). I prefer the trajectory, dispersion, and distance of the V2, as I get a more 'boring' ball flight and much better 'tumble effect' out of it... I have a compact swing, with bit of a quick transition. That said, the Prolaunch gives me a higher ball flight with less roll and distance. Specifically, with my swing... I get an average launch angle of 10.5* and 2100 spin rate out of my V2, relative to 12.2*/2800 rpm out of the PL Blue. Obviously, this will vary, depending on your type of swing, and they are different heads. I use one or the other, depending on the type of course I'm playing. But, the V2/L4V combo is in the bag 75% of the time.

Anyway, that's my opinion... Hope it helps... Take it or leave it

Similar to GFujii, I like the Provorce V2 shafts. Have one in my Callaway FT-3 and love it. The proforce brought my trajectory down a little and gives me a more pentrating ball flight. Ball gets up quick then flattens out and just seems to stay there.

I haven't tried every shaft out there by any means, but of the ones I've hit this is one of the better ones for me. Swing speed with driver around 112, tend to be quick on the transition sometimes. But no matter how quick I get, it's almost impossible to balloon a ball with this shaft.

The V2 is a mid kicking stiff tip shaft, so you can't be timid with your swing, making for the boring drive. Whereas the Prolaunch is a low kicking shaft making the tip more flexable than the V2, usually making for a higher trajectory. Having said that I have the V2 stiff flex HL in one of my drivers. I can hit it, but have to work at it a little. Although my ss with the driver is 100-102 I am a swinger and am usually caught between reg and stiff flexs.

If you aren't going to get it spined the V2 is probably better off of the shelf than the Prolaunch, but thats just my opinion.

As a side note, again IMO, I think that the Prolaunch Platinum is probably the best under 100 bux shaft out there.

    • Day 27 (7 Dec 25) - Got in a few swings with 9i and hard foam balls in backyard.  Setup weight fwd (rebuilt left foot really lets me feel the weight in a slightly painful way) - kept the backswing to around 9 o’clock focusing on contact and resulting divot pattern.  Like how the hard foam balls come off the face (almost like real balls in sound).  A good abbreviated session as I only able to hit about a dozen balls in the fading light.
    • Day 117 12-7 A bit of chipping practice today. Full swing- hit some real balls to see where Im at.
    • Not the part I was replying to: Handicaps did not go down much (like 0.14 on average IIRC?) when we went from 10/20*0.96 to 8/20. And a good chunk of that was from the +s.
    • I think he meant in the UK. The old system was completely different from the new one. 10/20 x 0.96 vs 8/20 would really only impact very low handicaps I think. The 0.96 serves to increase differentials for plus differentials, where 8/20 vs 10/20 works to lower differentials for all. I don't know many plus golfers who would be upset that their index got lower. A lot of really good players don't even really keep their handicaps up-to-date. They're much more interested in their WAGR rankings which get them entries to certain events.
    • Day 433 - 2025-12-07 Got some work in after Junior Elite before a night of sports (and the return of my wife!). Backswing work. Similar to what a lot of my juniors are doing.
