Any of you have the new Pearl/Curve with GPS enabled? If so, have you tried Greenfinder on it? I'm in the market for a new phone and a GPS device, so I'm wondering if I can kill 2 birds with one stone. Here's the link to greenfinder software.

If you have tried it, please list pros/cons. Thanks!

I have not tried it nor do I know anyone who has, however I will tell you this: while I don't know how well it would work, it working at all will have a lot to do with your carrier. Reason being, I have a Blackberry Pearl and my carrier is Verizon. Verizon disables the GPS on all their phones; they have their own brand of GPS called VZ Navigator....and it ain't the same, trust me.

However, this product does look similar to another program I've seen in the past called IntelliGolf http://www.intelligolf.com/

Intelligolf did not work for me at all. I have Sprint Curve and while I get GPS for free with that, I do believe it is just for the Sprint Navigator. I will try the demo and see. I am on the $99 for everything unlimited plan including, voice, data, txt, tv, and gps.

I would also like to add, that they do not have a whole lot of courses yet. In tampa, FL, they have only 4. There are about 100, and the 4 they have all have GPS on the carts already.

joshtpa - does the software allow you to map your own course? Interested in your review once you try it out. Thanks!

I am just about to buy a blackberry pearl since I am stuck in my SPRINT contract for another 10 mos. Otherwise I would get the iphone. I have also been looking to buy the iGolf neo GPS unit. So if this software works with the blackberry pearl I could save the $150 bucks. On the other hand I dont know that I want to be screwing around with my cell phone on the course. I like to keep the ringer turned off and the phone the bag....

Anxious to hear a review on this...

If your stuck with Sprint and want a touch screen phone, check out the Instinct that gets released next Friday.

Its not really the touch screen all though that is part of it. It is just all the cool features and the WIFI. I read about the Instinct and I doesn't look to appealing to me. I think the Pearl is better and proven. Plus I can get the Pearl for 99 bucks after 100 rebate!

Many are saying that the new IPhone does not have WIFI.

Really? I dont see how you can give people something like that in one version and then take it away? I guess when you are AT&T; and Apple you can do whatever the heck you want...

Just FYI - Most, if not all, cell phone carriers have made their early cancellation fees prorated (although they don't make that well known). So depending on what Sprint's policy is, it may only cost you less than $100 to get out of your contract. The new iphone 3G comes out in about a month and the new blackberry bold comes out later this summer - both AT&T; only for a while.

Hmm very interesting I will look into that. Thank you!

Well I looked into it and you are right! Thanks alot. They sure kept that pro-rate cancellation under wraps. I never heard of that before. +2 rep points for you!

From what I understand, it does still have wifi. And the 8GB version is supposed to cost $200, $100 with a 2 year AT&T; contract. And I thought the old $400 iphones were hard to find!

Actually it is going to be $200 with a 2 year contract. And it still is missing MMS and Cut and Paste.

Many are saying that the new IPhone does not have WIFI.

Many are wrong.

It has WiFi. Please stop spreading FUD. A quick visit to apple.com/iphone/ would have answered this for ya.

They lowered the price of the iphone, but raised the basic monthly rate by $10/mo to $70/mo. So you are actually paying more in the longrun. Sneaky Apple.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
