I've always thought Nike and Titleist were in a league of their own for clubs, with Cleveland, Cobra, Taylormade, Calloway and some others on the second tier.

Nike in the top tier? That's a new one

I'd say Tileist, Calloway, then Mizuno, but Nike, even though they've made progress, I still see them in the second tier.

I agree having different options is great but bad at the same time. The real problem with golf is a person must be consistant to b a good play and by having all differnt kind of clubs and look most likley will take a bit longer to get use to it. I like to play same brand im not meaning all my clubs ex if i have Tit irons i will have tit wedges just o have the consistant look same goes with woods in my case i like tit also. So being consistant is what makes a better golfer thats what thing but some people just like to have a bit of every pie :) ummm pie

I've started trying all kinds of different brands. I see no point in being such a loyalist to a company when their stuff may not be the best for me. If it works, hit it.

I'm currently using Rife, CER, TMade, Nickent, Integra, SS750 3wood, Cleveland

If I HAD to use only one manufacturer for clubs, I'd probably go with TMade.

Using Taylor made driver and woods, Cobra irons, Titleist wedges and Odyssey putter. Switching out Amp Cell gap wedge 49 degree and adding 714 gap wedge 48 degree and 52 degree to go with 54 and 58 Vokey. Amp Cells have XP 95 r 300 shafts just like Titleist 714. HAve not played the combo set yet.

My stock answer would be for most folks:

Irons should be the same maker, but some may use a split set like cavities for 4-5-6 and more of a "players club" for 7-PW

A lot of players would benefit from a wedge set like gap-sand-lob from the same maker in lofts and grinds suitable to the player's skill

If more than one hybrid is used, it might be beneficial to have same heads and shafts, i.e. 20 and 23 from same maker.

Driver, fairways, putter -- use what works.

I am not consistent in following my above advice personally. I have often privately poo-poo'd using a wedge set, but picked up a well used Cleveland set last summer and based on the results, I may actually invest in a decent set this year.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
