I am moving to Denver from the Seattle area and was wondering if you have any course suggestions. Also are there any good golf value cards/promos in Denver?

I use golfnow.com a lot out here and in Arizona but it doesn't seem to be as strong in Denver.

Thoughts?

You should check out RTJ Jr.'s Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton (about 30 mins south of Denver), if only once to see the red rock formations.

The Denver area has lots of good golf. You can go in every direction from the city and find excellent courses. Here are a few of my favorites:

Fossil Trace is West of the City
Hyland Hills(Gold course) is North of the City
Riverdale (Dunes course) is North of the City
Murphy Creek is East of the City
Green Valley Ranch is East of the City
Buffalo Run is Northeast

DEFIENTLY check out murhpy creek. I work out there right now, and its in great shape, you can play there right now, and its almost the exact course taht the pros would be playing as they are holding the US Ametuer there in a few weeks. Its a great course, and not too expensive. Ill even drop you a few range tokens if you drop by :)

Also check out,
Wellshire GC. Its in Denver.
Saddle Rock. Also a great course, challenging, but can still score really well.

Shoot me a PM, i can show you a few other nice places around here.

If you are willing to pay a little more, check out Grand Elk Golf course. Its up in the mountains, but its one of my favorite courses i ahve ever played. DEFINETLY worth a trip up there, but def. head out to murphy.

I will defenitley have to check out Murphy Creek. We will probably be moving out near Fitzsimmons as my wife is doing a residency program there.

I have played Fossil Trace and really enjoyed that course.

Thanks for the tips. Once I have played a few I will have to add my favs to this thread.

Murphy Creek (was super windy when I played there for the first time, kind of made for a much more miserable round than it should have been)
Westwoods
Riverdale Dunes (and Knolls is pretty fun to play too)
Wellshire

For whatever reason I wasn't a huge fan of Fossil Trace. There's a few other "budget" kind of courses that actually are surprisingly fun to play. Denver has a lot of courses around and since I'm moving in about a month I'm trying to play a few new ones. Foothills is up tomorrow, Raccoon Creek is also going to be coming up soon.

Westwoods is a good course, my parents actually live on that course.

I think we are going to be moving to the Stapleton area so I will have to check out some of those Denver city courses.

I moved to Fort Collins (hour north of Denver) from Seattle about 5 1/2 years ago. I think you'll love it out here. First off, for Denver area golf deals, check out http://www.golfcolorado.com/coupons.php . They have some pretty good coupons for courses all over the state.

As I mentioned above, I live in northern Colorado, so it would be a bit of a drive for you, but if you ever do want to travel north, here are a few that I'm fond of:

Vista Ridge (Erie)
Saddleback (Firestone)
Highland Meadows (Windsor)
Pelican Lakes (Windsor)
Mariana Butte (Loveland)
