Which 3 wood?

I'm trying to choose one of the 4 fairway woods.

TM Burner TP: 13/14.5
Ping G10: 13/15
Titleist 906F4: 13.5/15.5

I love my Callaway X Tour 3W, soooo easy to hit!

I didnt vote. Who cares what other people like or choose. If i were you I would thoroughly test all the major brands and determine which one suites you best and performs the best for YOUR swing!

I can only try those clubs out at Golf Galaxy or Golf Smith which have those virtual reality things. Do they show ball flight path on those things?

i dont know the answer to that. the golf stores around my area let you take clubs to any practice facility (hit from mats only) and try out clubs. this is how i have always done it. i have been surprised a few times, thinking i was going to get a certain club, and found that I hated it and went with something completely different. but if that is your only option, i guess you dont really have a choice.

I went to the Ping demo day. I found out that I actually hit the 4 wood farther than the 3 wood (apparently, not all that uncommon). They also fitted me with the proper shaft (TFC 129W - Stiff) with their doppler launch monitor that they bring out. It was really cool, and a lot of fun. They did a 'blind' test with me, and handed me a few different ones, and asked how they felt, as they recorded the data. I was impressed when they showed it all to me.

You can't really go wrong with any of the ones you listed, they're all super high quality sticks. Go hit them, get fitted, and decide which one does what you want best.

ive never hit a 3wood but im buying a titleist hybrid next......

First , why would you take a 13 degree , and even more why a burner TP , if you index is realy 20 forget and the 13 and the TP , i have not only try buy buy all those club this year , BURNER TP 13 , BURNER 15(not TP , cobra X speed 13 , cleveland 15 fit on RED and callaway X 15 ,

result , the worst it the BURNER TP realy hard to hit , second worst the callaway off the tee it OK solid contact but on the fairway the face is way to tall .. so really hard get the ball in the air ,, now my favorite one was the cleveland XLS with the stiff red shaft... unfortunatly the face is really thin and i crack the face every 25to50 ball i hit with that club ... so am now using a burner with the stock shaft.. ballflight is a bit too high but i love how easy to hit this club is... the cobra is my favorite 13degree... off the tee really nice.. on the fairway not that bad for a 13...

but try the burner and the burner TP and see for yourself... unless your index is around 0 i dont where this club can help you!

You might try some of the older 3 woods - a personal recommendation is the old TaylorMade V-Steel line. I think you can score them for like $50 now and they're excellent.

In any case, you need to hit them all to figure out what they do. We can't help with that.

I've tried a few Callaway 3 woods, the King Cobra F-Speed, never hit the Titleist, or G10 though, and I hit the Mizuno once, and I didn't like ANY of them as much as the Bobby Jones. The Bobby Jones had the best feel, as was the easiest to hit off tight lies because of the shallow face. I really liked the feel of it, and it just goes a mile off the club face. I suggest trying a Bobby Jones before you buy a different 3 wood - just give it a try. It SHOCKED me how much DIFFERENT it felt compared to the other woods I've hit.

My dad has a cobra f-speed offset. That is by far my favorite club that I've hit. It's like a dream. He hits it off the tee and then once more on the fairway. He's not a bad golfer(about a 15 or so handicap) and it preforms wonderful for him. Now I'm a higher handicapper(havent started keeping track yet) and i hit this thing like no other.

Adams have also gotten some great reviews on golf digest so i wouldn't rule them out either.

Personally, I've dropped 10 points off my handicap since I started playing the HiBore XL and the HiBore 3 wood. I can't say enough about the forgiving nature of the face and how much jump I get off the tee. That being said, I get more loft and distance from the rough with an 18 degree Cobra Baffler DWS. If I got the same distance out of my hybrids, I'd likely drop the 3 wood from the bag alltogether.

My handicap is still being calculated and is in the mid teens at the moment. It's my second year of playing and I had some high rounds early in the year while trying to figure out my handicap.

I tried the new Cleveland 13* at a demo day and tried the similar model but from last year that my friend had and also hit that well. I read the reviews from magazines and they said those 3 brands were good so I was thinking of going with one of them. I would use the 3 wood off the tee, fairway, or light rough. Would just layup if I'm in the rough with a 3 hybrid.

How much do fitting session cost for a 3-wood? Also, how do they go about telling you which shaft will be best for you?

If you are a 20 hndcp... forget the Cleveland, Callaway and TaylorMade... go to Rockbottomgolf.com and look for the Adams LP Fairway wood. You can get it in a 13*... smaller head, lower profile and easy as pie to get in the air with good distance. On top of all that you can get it for under 50 bucks.
