I talked to a very good golfer today and he was talking about what it takes to become a scratch golfer. He said that you need to play at least 3 times a week, he did not mention this but I and sure you need to practice the other 4days also.

He was working on pitch shots of 30 yards with a full swing to get his tempo.

His goal was to be able to pitch his approach shot within 5 yards from the hole.

He is a 3 handicap golf and was a scratch golfer at one time but he is not able to devote the time right now. He has shot rounds of 61 and several 65s

Ummm...I don't play three times a week. I'm lucky if I get one time per week. Practice time: Lucky if I get to the range two times a week.

I had it down to scratch for one revision. Balooned a bit now...but I still think my point if valid.

You don't have to play that often to become a scratch player.

That's how I like my golf. A kick in the face. -Ben
