I was going to do a poll, but there seems like there are too many...haha. So I will just ask the question. How often do you flip on the set and find yourself watching a golf infomercial? Then low and behold you realize you have watched the whole thing? I swear to God, I think I have watched all of them and want every product...(i have quite a few) except for the HAMMER. That is the worst one I have ever seen. Between the Power Hitter, The Medicus ( i have that one), and all the other tools, they have my attention every time.

I can't help but watch the Skycaddie one with Natalie Gulbis.

The only one I watched and made it all the way through was the medicus one. I bought one and now if I see an infomercial, I change the channel lol.

Ive watched the heavy putter one almost 5 times now. It usually take me 10 minutes to realize im watching an infomercial, then im hooked and watch the whole thing. I like when they show the over exagerated bad habits that the device will fix.

Being an ex NYer and not being a fan of the local teams here I find myself watching these infomercials way too much since there is nothing else on right now. But dont hate on the hammer - it is kind of humorous

It is hunmerous, hearing a guy grunt and scream every swing and claim that if he could 3 putt, he could be a top player.

I saw the Hammer ad last year when I was on vacation, and my buddy and I for the next 4 days kept mocking him on the range, yelling "POW" after every shot. When I got home the next weekend we got paired up with a guy who actually had that driver we couldn't stop laughing about it and wanted to yell "POW" everytime the guy hit it.

the real question is, how did he hit it????

He would have been better off throwing a ball in the air and hitting it with an actual hammer

    • My flop shots are 6-7° down (AoA). Does that answer it? 😄  The longer answer is… You have to be able to do both shots.
    • I hope you don't mind me raising this one from the dead. I got shortgamechef's video access thing for a few months in 2024. I watched his yip fix videos (the general gist is similar to the first video above, but with a lot more detail) and it made a lot of sense. I was working on it in my backyard off a mat for a while and my yippy thing was mostly gone. Aside from anything else, the flop shot using that technique is so easy and controllable. But I got onto a golf course for the first time of the year and found myself by the green on a downslope with the ball sitting down a little in the rough and I was, not to put too fine a point on it, f***ed. Shallow is all well and good from a good flat lie and I understand it, but you can't make that your be all and end all. I still don't know if it's a good idea to use steep all the time or just when you need to. I have a hard enough time with one technique, let alone too.  Just got a pitching skillest lesson with Erik and unless I misunderstood things some, he wants me a bit steeper. @iacas - where do you fall on the steep vs shallow argument and how do you vary it according to need?
