Given its the Open none of yours that's for certain possibly except Segio Garcia.

Luke Donald could not close a door

Mickleson does not have any chance of winning the Open he is too in love with hitting high spectacular wedge shots that make the crowd go ooooooooh , no use at all on a links course.

Adam Scott as per Luke Donald.

Anthony Kim would have thought its unlikely given his inexperience and the weather is awful in UK at the moment so experiance on a links course will be essential.

I quite like Lee Westwood .

Sergio finished in awesome form at the European Open last week at the London club (very, very windy firm condidtions) so he is riding alot of form currently. I give him a good chance.

I'll pull for AK and I think he has a solid chance but more realistically I'd go with either Ogilvy or Luke Donald.

Links golf is a different ball game to what most of the players are used to.Those who are able to adapt to the conditions and have the range of shots required in their armoury will prevail. Monty Knows this is his last chance to get in the Ryder team he seems to be warming up well with some decent recent finnishes ,is at home on links tracks ,has a new bird ,everythings going right for him ,he is even giving us an occasional smile ,dare I say it ?

Links golf is a different ball game to what most of the players are used to.

That's what people say every year, yet only two European players have won the British Open in the last decade plus. That being said, I really do think this will be their year to dominate (much like last year).

The continent of the players birth has nothing to do with wether they can adapt to links golf or not. With respect Thrash I was not singing the praises of European players in general

HAHA just kidding. AK, as he is now called, will cool off. I think Sergio is a good pick. Its so hard as no one other than Tiger is consistent. They are so up and down no telling who will bring their game.

Anthony Kim of course. Just kidding (well, I do think he can play well there). Seriously it's hard not to like Sergio's chances. He's playing well and has a great track record at the British and Tiger is gone. It remains to be seen if he can close the deal but hard not to like him. A few others I like are Lee Westwood, Justin Rose (although I'll be honest I'm not sure what form he's in), Ernie Els and maybe a guy like Robert Allenby who has done everything but win this year but I do think it will ultimately be a European. I wouldn't forget about Andres Romero either.
