Title says it all. I see what looks like the adjustment screw. I guess I am supposed to purchase some sort of tool that I don't have. Is this true?

r7 wrench

to save money you can use a TORX bit that fits into any standard screwdriver handle, I bought mine for a few bucks after picking up my r7 off of ebay without a wrench

The r7 460 (I am sure on this model, not sure what you have) yes, those are adjustable. IT is a typical star wrench. They come with the wrench, but any cheap star wrench set will do fine I believe. Many cheaper drill bit screw bit sets included a few star bits.

Mine is a 460 R7 Draw.

Right. As he said you cannot.

Interesting. Probably better that way anyways. I might have screwed it up.

Why is the screw there? Looks I suppose?

essentially... makes the club look high tech (they could have just positioned the weight low and inside the club but that wouldnt be as cool)

Not just that, but it also allows them to use the same clubheads for multiple shaft weights to maintain (or adjust) swingweight.

The Titleist 909s have a weight screw for the same reason. It'll even be included in the fitting cart, the three different weight screws (2, 7, and 12 gram, IIRC).

Does it also hvae something to do with the sound of the club? Seems like I read that somewhere?

Everything affects the sound of a club. No doubt the weight - on either of the clubs discussed - is a factor in sound.

But in neither case can you buy a plug that sounds differently for the purpose of sounding differently. The sound is engineered into all the parts of the clubs...

    • The course is playing tough. We’re only about 50 miles away. It very windy here and going to get worse. They’re all dressed like it’s the British Open!
    • Have posted in a while or practiced for that matter. Dealing with a few medical issues. But I was able to practice and film today. I’ve played 5 times this year. Misses have been pulls or heavy shots. I feel this has a lot to do with my lower back issues. When I feel good, I get good rotation and I hit the ball well. Today I felt good. Hips and lower back felt nice and flexible. I worked mainly on the hands feeling from the top. The club head should feel like it’s going down and away from the ball and target at the start of the downswing. The right knee should stay a little flexed at the top. These are the only swing thoughts other than high hands (arms going up) I’ve been focused on. I did PW, 6 iron and Driver today. Here is PW. The hands look better as does the knee in the rehearsal. The knee gets more straight in the actual swing.   My left arm is not straight at impact, which it has never really been. But that’s not the focus of this practice.   6 iron looks better than last time. Driver also looks better than last time. Playing tomorrow. Hopefully my body will cooperate.

    • The way to practice this is not at full speed, even if you do manage to "change" something. But no, not quite like that. That's a late lift, but you still have the early roll, and you stand up too much in that swing (likely in trying to "lift" — the "lift" is relative to your torso, not the ground).
