I love my FT-i. The only thing I would have done differently was get a slightly higher loft. I have a 10* standard flex. I'm not long off the tee anyway (around 220). More loft would get me a bit more distance, but I can live with what I have. Now if only I hit in the direction I was aiming! Very straight though.

I got mine free with reward points :)

I said stop me, not talk me into it!
When I was on the launch monitor I was hitting the 10 super high, so I'm looking to snag a 9 or possibly a 8.5 tour. THe tour version just has the more open face, correct?

Cmon, all your friends are doing it...Just kidding. But being a pusher is fun in the world of golf.

Remember that old song from Easy Riders...The Pusher Man!
I have hit every friggin driver out I think.
I've changed my swing and my iron play is so much better, but it really hurt my driver for some reason. Now my 560 is super long, but only when I hit it right. The demo on the FT-i was just straight, straight.
I'm really thinking of carrying 2 drivers for awhile and dropping a longer iron.

carrying two drivers? why? You're only using it 13 holes a round. You might as well carry two putters if you're going to think about carrying two drivers.

Other than that, i wouldn't spend a dime on a club like that unless you've been fitted for it properly.

I believe it's illegal to carry two putters on the course.

But I agree it's easier to just use your three wood off the tee if you're going to lose 20 yards. I don't see how you could possibly LOSE 20 YARDS! off the tee with this new driver. I mean, jeez, that's a lot to lose from driver to driver.

Probably because I'm not that good!

I'd recommend holding off for a while or finding a used one or something. If your swing is sucking 20 yards of distance just because you changed clubs, I doubt the new club is really going to pay off anyway. I'd work out the kinks with your current driver and think about it again in a few months.

Just scored a used one from a reputable dealer on the bay pretty darn cheap!
I know these have been highly counterfeited, but it is proshopwarehouse with tons of feedback and the authentic guarantee. I've bought from them before with excellent results.
So, should know by mid week how it does on the course!
I do know about the fitting, etc. I tried numerous ones of this model and the bone std. stock one was the one with the best results.

I use my driver 14 holes a round actually. And I carried two that I demo'd until I made the decision.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I am planning Josh. Years ago, I always carried two drivers. Never knew how I would be swinging back then on any given day. Plus, one for workability and the other for distance, etc. But that was 10 years ago. At least I don't carry a chipper anymore

    • To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
