I am 15 and my little brother is 11 and he needs some golf balls to play when we go on a trip to Ohio. He is an okay golfer, his swing is good, but hes a small kid so he doesnt hit the ball that far. I hit the nike one blacks, and i could give some of those to him, but last time i did, he hit worm burners with his wedges and he said it stung when he hit them. He just cant get the harder golf balls in the air cause his swing speed is so low. My dad plays Pro V1xs and he has had similar problems with those golf balls also. Could anyone recommend a high launch distance golf ball that has good feel for a high handicapper with a low swing speed? My brother will have a lot more fun if he hits the ball better.

any ball stings when you hit a worm burner (physically and mentally) lol

or my personal faves, the HX Hot Bites. they go high, far, and spin decently. but they get torn apart by wedges

I'm 15 also and as long as i can remember the Callaway Big Bertha Golf Balls have been good to me. I still use them now and i will continue to use them for high school golf season coming up. They don't have much spin on the green but i like the ball to hit a spot and then roll to the hole so the suit me perfectly.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
