Who here has more than one swing for a club? I am developing two different swings, but not on purpose. It seems that when I show up for a round or a practice session I seem to adapt mentally and physically to one of two types of swings. One swing is taking the club back slightly inside with a shoulder turn and is very compact. The other swing feels more like taking the club staight back with a shoulder turn which feels more loose and free.

Does anyone else out there have two or more swings for a single club?

Should I practice both swings or try to get myself one swing.

I use to have several swings also because I was fighting a hook. Now, I have one main swing that is more consistent and I am more confidence then ever before.

I had mulitple swing because they were good only 70 - 80% of the time and I was not totally happy with the swing and was switching back and forth.

For years I have had a handsy swing frequently with an over the top path. The bandaid for that problem was an inside-inside swing but I still suffered from inconsistency.

Recently I started to learn how to use my hips instead of hands and take the club back through 9:00, toe up like most of the pros. The result is crisper ball contact and longer/straighter shots.

There is a bonus - '9:00 toe up' is a great check point just prior to taking your swing.
