Thanks for the info it will be a couple of years before both of my kids will be able to go but my oldest might be able to join this year.

I have seen kids start as young as 5 years old that had golf experience participate in the First Tee program.

My kids are both involved with the local First Tee. Our facility has a 6 hole course (4 par 3's, a par 4, and a par 5), and full driving range (putting, and a separate sand/chipping green). When your kids are members they get to use the facility for very low cost (.50 range buckets, $2 rounds on their course). The lessons aren't bad, and as they progress higher the classes get much better. We go there 2-3 times a week.

Every year they pick one or two kids to go back to Kansas City to the First Tee retreat. I know a girl who went a couple of years back and met other golfers from around the country.
