That same website puts Natalie Gulbis #1 on their list, but Michelle Wie like #5, right?

However, in another list of the Top 50 Hottest Female Athletes, they put Natalie at #45 and Michelle Wie at #29, and Anna Rawson (who was on like the 3rd page of the Top 50 Golfers) beats out them both at #18.

What gives?


PS: I disagree with most of the Top 10 on this Top 50 Athletes list, but that's another story.

That poll says "Of All Time" so what about 1985 US Open winner Kathy Baker (now Kathy Guadagnino). That was her first win as a pro and I think she only won one other time (like in '87). Pretty much out of the game by the middle 90s. But I definitely remember watching the Women's Open that year just because of her!

Have you seen any of the 'are you a girl or boy?' threads? Female golfers on the internet are a rare (and welcome) commodity! So few (if any )lists or polls are there to cater to the fairer sex.

That said there was once a thread somewhere in the grill room dedicated to the hottest pro golfers (male and female). EDIT: I agree with JaY_B Natalie Gulbis should be not #1

      that is an excellent approach. I did that with my last set. I made a few 7 irons from different heads and shafts. Getting a feel for how they play on the course is the right idea. Let us know how it goes.

      New member here, and I have decided to upgrade my clubs. I have been playing for a long time but these last 10 years I have had to put four kids through college. So I've played a few rounds a year and some years have not played at all. I am currently playing Titleist 716 AP2's with Rifle 6.5 steel shafts and Winn grips. I used to hit my 7 iron around 165 yds until just 5 years ago. I turned 62 this year and noticed I can barely get my 7 iron to 145 yds. I went for a fitting to try out some new player distance irons. I don't think I need game improvement irons because I'm pretty straight and rarely try to work a ball (if I'm working a ball, then I most definetely did something wrong to get there). I tried a bunch of irons (Callaway, Mizuno, PXG, Taylormade, Srixon, Ping, and Titleist) and I kept coming back to the Ping and Titleist. They just felt right and really looked good when lining up a shot. The Ping, by far, went the longest of all the irons. The Titleist was a close second in distance. Both felt buttery smooth through impact. I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with these irons. I was getting 160 yds with a nice smooth swing (81 mph swing speed). I know I'm asking a lot of my clubs but my last fitting was 27 years ago and I ended up with some Cleveland TA3's or TA2's forged irons with Dynamic Gold S300 (swing speed 87 mph). I really love the feel of my AP2's and the place I'm going to purchase from is going to make a 7 iron in both Ping and Titleist for me to test on real grass. I'm pretty certain it's going to be either one. They're both identical in price for a set of 5-PW. I'm going to forego a 4 iron and get another 4 hybrid to go along with my 3 hybrid. Any and all replies are welcome.

      Day 47, June 22.  After work today, I spent 20 minutes in my indoor practice room, hitting about as many balls.  Slow, as slow as I could, 6-iron swings, same priority piece as the past month.
